Cheeseburger Smackdown –

September 9, 2023

Beer Hall @ Santa Fe Brewing HQ
35 Fire Pl, Santa Fe

12:30 VIP ENTRY | 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM – General Admission

Chef Mark Kiffin will be a judge at the Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown in September.

The Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown has one simple goal: to determine the best green chile cheeseburger in New Mexico.

In celebration of our tenth anniversary, we have invited seven past champions to compete for burger dominance in a spicy, beefy brawl. The smackdown began in Santa Fe in 2013 and the revelry has continued ever since.

We invite chefs to toss their spatulas in the ring and throw down the burger sure to beat them all. Thanks to our attendees and their iron stomachs, the Smackdown is one of New Mexico’s favorite annual foodie events and sells out every year!

Caroline Owen with the 2023 Hamilton Visionary Award

Since 2008, Caroline has dedicated her work with the Foundation to supporting cancer patients and helping them access resources to ensure they receive treatment. Caroline has touched the lives of thousands of patients and families during very challenging and sensitive times.

The evening will feature a delightful menu crafted by nationally renowned James Beard Award-winning Chef, Mark Kiffin and Executive Chef, Weston Ludeke. We will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served on the beautiful Compound Restaurant patio.

A brief patient services paddle raise will take place led by Foundation friend, Richard Lampert, of Zaplin Lampert Gallery. As is our Supper Club tradition, pledge levels for the paddle raise will include $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, $1,000 and $500.
